Our dearest Mettea lost all of her hair over winter break due to her alopecia. It broke my heart because I had always hoped she would never have to deal with what I did as a child. It was much harder on me than it was on her. She has such courage!
She is obviously very distressed.
Before we could even blink, some family members had purchased her this beautiful wig that she picked out. Mettea loved it, but soon realized she would rather not wear anything so she only wears it to school and to church.
This girl is feisty, loud, bursting with energy, and usually tests my patience to the breaking point! But mostly, she inspires me.
